Roosevelt Public School Weaving can be a very rewarding, relaxing pastime. Learn how to weave on a 4-shaft Dorothy loom (provided by the Guild). This course will provide you with the basic understanding and knowledge of weaving, including step-by-step warping, threading, basic weave structure and fibre selection. Complete a sampler and plan, execute and weave two more projects. This is an excellent beginner course. Have fun while learning to weave ! NB: pre-registration required Cost: $165.00 for members, $220 for non-members with cheque payable to London District Weavers and Spinners. SPINNING
LEVEL ONE . Instructor - Jane Van Arnhem Learn how to spin 100 % hand spun yarn for your next project. Enjoy learning the basic technique of sinning yarn, including the understanding of fibre preparation, carding, and blending. This is an excellent beginner course. Have fun while learning to spin your own yarn. Classes: 3 Saturday mornings at Jane’s Sheepish Things in Delaware from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Dates: Please call for information and to schedule dates Cost: $95. Make cheque payable to London District Weavers & Spinners. Guild members (membership is $55) will have free use of a spinning wheel. Non-members may rent wheels for a nominal fee plus a refundable deposit.
